The Great Tribulation
Rabbi Yeshua, Jesus, spoke of a coming, horrible future period of time which is to be the worst era of trial, trouble, and difficulty ever to come upon this planet in its entire chronological history. This future time of trouble has been popularly called the "tribulation" or "the great tribulation" by students of the Bible, some of whom are in the dispensational school. This future era of history will be characterized by devastating calamities which will be manifested on earth during that coming period of time. Many students of Scripture are convinced this "great tribulation" which Jesus predicted is the same period of years depicted in the book of Revelation. For followers of the Messiah, the crucial question concerning that future horrible era is what the chronological relationship of the Rapture is to that predicted time of trouble.
From evidence in the Bible some have concluded the biblical Rapture rescue will transpire before that predicted time of great trouble. Others have concluded the Rapture will instead occur during that future time of trouble, and others have concluded the Rapture occurs at the end of that future time of trouble and turmoil. These various Rapture views are called pre-tribulational, mid-tribulational, and post-tribulational. A recent view called the "pre-wrath" view suggests a Rapture rescue between the mid-trib and post-trib scenarios.
The Planetary Exodus examines evidence for the time of the Rapture from the gospels and epistles. The Apocalyptic Rapture Exodus examines evidence in the book of Revelation for the time of the Rapture in relation to the tribulation.
