Prophetic Schools
Several schools for interpreting the Apocalypse, or book of Revelation, have arisen. The Preterist, Idealist, Futurist, and the Historicist schools are several of the major methods used for interpreting the Patmos visions. How did these methods for interpreting the Apocalypse develop during the centuries? What do these different "schools" for interpreting the book of Revelation believe? Are the basic beliefs each school holds correct, erroneous, or a combination of truth and error? When did each prophetic school arise in history and what were the circumstances surrounding each school's appearance? Is any of these schools particularly accurate in its method of interpreting the book of Revelation?
If any of the prophetic methods for interpreting the book of Revelation is correct, are the other schools for prophetic interpretation of the book of Revelation incorrect?
The Apocalyptic Rapture Exodus examines several of these major schools of interpretation in addition to their histories and origins over the centuries. Important relationships between these prophetic schools of interpretation with other schools of interpretation are examined also.
